Francesca Howell (Dip.Ac)

I have been practicing Acupuncture since 2001. I trained for four years at the Northern College of Acupuncture and then for a further year in 2006 to study Patented Chinese Herbal Formulas. I also have a certificate in Acupressure massage. I tutor a regular course on Acupressure points for various conditions, which also explains the background and theory behind Chinese Medicine. I have recently completed the British Acupuncture training to provide supervision/mentoring to other practitioners. I am really interested in all aspects of Chinese Medicine including nutrition, and Qi Gong and recently completed the first module of training for medical Qi Gong.

My interest in Chinese Medicine began years ago, when I received Acupuncture myself. The idea of treating the mind, body and spiritual well-being of a person made sense to me. I consider it a valuable, exciting and wonderful method of healthcare and support for the patient during their own healing process.

I have also recently completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling at Strathclyde University.
