Mentoring/Supervision

'Supervision enables a growing sense of professional self-esteem, and allows us to reconnect with the excitement and challenge of our practice" Isobel Cosgrove

Whenever practitioners meet there is a sense of coming together of common interests and experiences, which is strengthening and exciting.  As practitioners we have similar experiences or queries about how to further our practice which can range form financial arrangements such as cancelation fees, health and safety or personal issues with clients.

One of the characteristics of an acupuncture practice is the incredibly wide range of people and conditions that we see as practitioners.  A day can consist of so many different experiences.  Some can be shocking or disturbing, some touching or sad and some incredibly happy and uplifting.  These experiences take place one after the other with the practitioner moving between them and adjusting to each different patients need with some sense of closure on whatever has been experienced with the previous client.  I can be a wonderful and rewarding occupation and it can also be tiring and stressful.  Supervision is a way of sharing these experiences.  it's a way of receiving support and processing our thoughts so that we can return to our practices feeling refreshed and ready to face new challenges that we may encounter.

Supervision enables practitioners to explore all aspects of their practice and to receive constructive support for any issues that they wish to discuss.

If you would like to discuss receiving supervision please contact me.
